About me

Meet Liana Gergely, AMFT

Trauma Therapist

Liana Gergely is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. Liana works with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, addiction, codependency, attachment wounds, and the effects of growing up in families impacted by dysfunction. Her approach is psychodynamic and relational at its core, weaving in somatic awareness, attachment-focused work, and parts work to help clients move beyond insight alone and into lived, embodied change. Rather than focusing on what is “wrong,” she is guided by a deep belief in each client’s resilience — exploring how they have survived what they’ve experienced and expanding their capacity to relate to themselves and others with greater compassion and freedom.

Liana is a Clinical Trauma Professional (I & II) and received her clinical training at Maple Counseling Center, where she worked with adults experiencing Complex PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, and relational difficulties. She has a particular passion for working with high-functioning individuals who, despite outward success, struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, and a persistent sense of never being or doing enough. She brings a long background in 12-step recovery and mindfulness practices, threading these frameworks into her clinical work to support lasting, whole-person healing.

Liana is fluent in French and offers therapy in French for clients who prefer it.
